The short version
Kaleidoscope Plan is built to be private by default. Your drawings, scans and exports are created and stored on your device (and in your own iCloud, if you choose). We do not run analytics, we do not use tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share your personal information.
Who we are
This policy applies to the Kaleidoscope Plan apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac and to this website. The data controller is Maritime Master Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15339200), at The Kiln, 2 Copenhagen Street, WR1 2HB. Information we collect
Content you create
Floor plans, scans, photos, annotations and exports stay on your device and, if you enable it, in your personal iCloud account. We have no server and receive no copy of this content.
Camera and LiDAR
When you scan a room, the app uses the camera and LiDAR sensor with Apple's RoomPlan. This processing happens on your device; the resulting geometry is saved locally and is not transmitted to us.
Diagnostics
If you opt in to sharing diagnostics with Apple, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymised crash and performance reports through App Store Connect. These do not identify you. You can turn this off in iOS/macOS settings.
This website
The site is static and sets no cookies and runs no third-party trackers or analytics. Like any website, our hosting provider may process technical request data (such as your IP address and user-agent) in server logs to deliver and secure the site.
How we use information
- To provide the app's features on your device.
- To diagnose crashes and improve stability (aggregated diagnostics only).
- To respond to you if you email us.
We do not use your information for advertising or profiling.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell or rent personal information. Content leaves your device only when you export or share it (for example via AirDrop, email, Files or iCloud). The platforms you use to do so — principally Apple — handle that data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Third-party services
- Apple — the App Store, iCloud and RoomPlan are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Our website host ([HOSTING PROVIDER]) processes request logs to serve the site.
Data retention
Because your content lives on your device and in your iCloud, you control how long it is kept and can delete it at any time. If you email us, we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to address your query.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Since we hold almost no personal data about you, most requests concern data you already control on your device. To make a request, email support@kaleidoscopeplan.app.
Children's privacy
Kaleidoscope Plan is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
International users
The app processes your content locally on your device wherever you are. Any correspondence you send us may be processed in England and Wales.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide a more prominent notice.
